  2. Rayleigh, discovered argon 1894. In 1895
  3. Ramsay manufactured helium, and in 1898, in
  4. cooperation with Morris Travers, identified
  5. neon, krypton, and xenon. In 1903, with
  6. Frederick Soddy, he noted the transmutation
  7. of radium into helium, which led to the
  8. discovery of the density and atomic weight of
  9. radium. Nobel prize 1904.
